Hey, beautiful poets!

Have you been redrafting and refining your drafts using last week’s free Poetry Editing Pop-up Clinic?

Do you need a second (or third) opinion on your poems? An extra pair of objective eyes? A feedback friendo?

Well, you don’t have to scream into the poetic void alone. Let’s help each other out (and scream together) with another Feedback Friends Forever call out — poetry edition!

So, if you’re looking for feedback on your poems from our lovely Forever Workshop community, here’s what to do:

FIRST: Create a Poetry Profile

Build a quick hashtag profile to describe your work, so potential beta readers know what to expect and can choose according to their interests.

For example:

What genre/format/style is your poetry?

#ProsePoetry
#Sonnet
#Experimental
#Haiku

What length is your poetry?

#Micro
#Short (<1 page)
#Long/Multiple (couple pages or so)
#Epic (AKA The Iliad)

What kind of topics or themes or vibes does your poetry focus on?

#Nature
#Relationships
#Politics
#Identity

Add whatever hashtags best describe your work. And once you’ve put a few together, your poetry profile might look something like this:

#Short #Humor #Experimental #FamilyDrama #PopCulture

Or:

#Villanelle #Long/Sequence #Erotic #Historical

NEXT: Share Your Feedback Friend Request

When you’re ready, post your hashtags in the comments:
